Participation Was Ensured to The INSPIRE Conference 2014

INSPIRE Conference is held every year in order to ensure sharing the implementations regarding INSPIRE Directive between countries and to follow technological developments. Conference organized by the JRC was carried out with the participation of about 800 experts in the Danish city of Aalborg Conference this year between June 16-20 2014.

Representing our General Directorate Head of Department Dr. Akın KISA, Deputy Branch Manager Ayhan KAVŞUT, Survey Engineer Eda SOYLU SENGÖR, City Planner Ezgi ÇANKAYA and City Planner Dursun Yıldırım BAYAR have participated to the conference.

Three papers were presented on behalf of our General Directorate during the conference, where a there was high degree of participation and interest;

- Governance Model Proposal Towards Efficient Operation of Urban Information System (D. Yıldırım BAYAR)
- Development Experiences of Turkey National Geographic Information System (TNGIS) Under INSPIRE Compliance (Doç. Dr. Arif Çağdaş AYDINOĞLU)
- Preparation of Geological Data Standards in Turkey Based on the INSPIRE Directives (Prof. Dr. Candan GÖKÇEOĞLU)

Apart from the paper presentations, there are five poster presentations were made on the subject named; Dissemination of Urban Information Systems with Cloud Computing, Geoportal Application, Atlas Application, Ortofoto Project and Legal Base.
