Our purpose is; providing, preparing, storing and presenting geographic data.

Our task is; to do and to make the processes and the tasks about the establishment, usage and development of the National Geographic Information System. Determining the standards of urban information systems of local administrations and encouraging widely usage of them and operating National Geographic Information System.

As a result; production and sharing of the geographic data within the standards set by the General Directorate will be provided once and 6 times reduction of the cost in the industry will be performed.
